Iran's foreign trade is facing near- crisis conditions, the Iranian Labour News Agency (ILNA) quoted an official as saying.
The Iranian Central Bank (CBI) refuses to provide importers with official-rate foreign currency. It harms foreign trade , Mohammad Hossein Barkhordar, the head of the country's import association and a leading member of the Tehran Chamber of Commerce, said.
While the private sector is struggling with the sanctions imposed against Iran and the devaluation of the rial compared to the dollar, the CBI has refused from taking actions that would help them, Mr. Barkhordar said.
