A group of Turkish investors have announced a readiness to establish a large shipbuilding yard in Iran's northern Anzali port, IRNA news agency quoted the Anzali governor as saying on Thursday.
Sa'adatmand Davoudi added that various types of freight and passenger ships as well as tankers will be built at the yard. The project will create at least 1000 job opportunities.
He pointed out that the government has invested up to 13 billion rials (some $1.1 billion) to boost development infrastructures in the port city in a bid to attract foreign investors.
