Ministry: Iran finds way to circumvent banking sanctions
Azerbaijan, Baku, Mar. 11/ Trend F.Milad/
Iran has adopted policy of direct trading to counter banking sanctions of the UAE and Qatar against the Islamic Republic, Finance and Economic Affairs Ministry said in its report.
"Iran has attached the priority to do trade directly with other countries," Mehr news agency quoted the report as saying.
The central banks of the UAE and Qatar have recently told lenders to stop financing trade with Iran. The United States imposed the harshest sanctions so far on Iran over its nuclear ambitions, banning transactions involving Iran's central bank, and the European Union has banned the import, purchase or transportation of Iranian oil, cutting off its main foreign currency earner.
