The early development of an oil well in Iran's Reshadat (Rostam) oil field will push the field's oil production past 10,000 barrels daily, Pana news agency reported.

The Reshadat filed's production capacity tis slated to double by mid-April said Abbas Rajabkhani, the head of the Iranian Offshore Oil Company's (IOOC) Lavan region.

In addition to batch drilling five development wells, the IOOC is installing underwater pipelines and electricity lines in the field.

By mid-late April, Reshadat field should be producing 20,000 barrels of oil and by February 2013, the field is projected to produce 40,000 barrels of oil a day.
