Corrosion in Iran's West Ethylene Pipeline is being repaired, Fars news agency reports.
Problems with the design of the pipeline caused corrosion and changes will have to be made to some sections of the line, said the managing director of the National Petrochemical Company (NPC), Abdol Hossein Bayat.
Designed to transport ethylene from Assaluyeh in Iran's Bushehr Province on the Persian Gulf, to southern and western provinces as far as East Azerbaijan Province, the 2000-kilometre pipeline project is in its first phase.
