Tehran's firefighters extinguish 80 percent of fire at furniture market (UPDATE)

Tehran's firefighting team managed to extinguish about 80 percent of the spreading fire at the Baftabad furniture market, city's Firefighting Service Chief Alireza Alavi Razavi said, ISNA reported.

A large fire broke out on Thursday at 13:30 local time at the Baftabad furniture market in Tehran, Iranian ISNA news agency reported earlier.

Five fire engines were dispatched to the scene to contain the fire.

Chief of Tehran's Ambulance service Hasan Abbasi said that four people got burned, however they were later released from the hospital.

Reportedly more than 300 shops inside the market got damaged as a result of fire.
