The finance and economic affairs minister of Iran has said that the world economy is facing with new threats, adding that the euro economy is so volatile.
Speaking to reporters during the World Economy and Finance conference in New York, Shamseddin Hosseini added that the current economic growth rate could not help reduce unemployment in the world, the IRNA News Agency reported.
Hosseini referred to inefficient monetary and fiscal policies as being amongst the factors for the existing crisis in the field of the euro-based economy, saying that the lack of an equitable and just management was another reason.
The high level debate with the theme of the State of the World Economy and Finance in 2012, took place on May 17-18 in the UN General Assembly in New York.
The debate aimed to contribute to 'on-going international efforts to achieve a sustained, inclusive and equitable recovery of the world economy'.
