On Sept.18, Iran's Securities and Exchange Organization's Managing Director Hassan Qalibaf-Asl said infrastructure is ready to launch the foreign bourse in the near future.
He told ILNA that a special working group has been formed by the Central Bank to study different aspects of the issue.
Meanwhile, Iran inaugurated a forex trading center on Sept.24.
The new foreign exchange center allows importers of goods to buy dollars at a rate 2 percent cheaper than the street rate at any given time.
The government plans to use revenues from petrochemical sales and 14.5 percent of its oil revenues to provide dollars for the center.
