Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Ahmad Vahidi on Sunday said Iran's drone technology is much more advanced than the one Hezbollah recently used for penetrating the Israeli airspace, Fars reported.

"Definitely, the drone which recently flew over the occupied lands (Israel) and astonished the world was not the product of Iran's latest technology," Vahidi stressed.

"The Islamic Republic of Iran is now in possession of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) with much more advanced technology than that of the drone which was flown in the sky of the occupied territories by Hezbollah forces," Vahidi underscored.

Vahidi further said that Hezbollah's move undermined Israel's propaganda about its air defense power and was a heavy blow at the regime.

Earlier this month, a drone could penetrate Israel's missile shields and reached the regime's sensitive nuclear center in the Negev desert. As the pilotless drone was flying over the Yatir forest in the South Mount Hebron area, the Israeli army was trying to figure out what its destination was.

Later, Secretary-General of Hezbollah Seyed Hassan Nasrallah confirmed that the movement has sent a drone deep into the Israeli airspace, and stressed that the move demonstrated part of Hezbollah's capability.

Nasrallah further stated that Hezbollah's drones use Iranian technology, but are assembled by his resistance movement in Lebanon.
