Twelve local bank employees have been arrested in Iran's Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad on fraud and forgery charges, ISNA reported.
According to the report, due to lack of proper supervision, the detained employees have been distributing golden coins and trading currency outside of the banking network.
The report said the detainees, who have sold some 3,000 golden coins illegally, were captured and arrested by Iran's Intelligence Ministry's officials.
The names of the detainees were not disclosed.
