Iranian president's press advisor, ex IRNA chief Ali Akbar Javanfekr has been temporarily released from Evin prison, Fars reported.
Javanfekr was arrested on September 26. Tehran Penal Court in November 2011 had sentenced Javanfekr to six months in prison on charges of publishing articles contrary to Islamic regulations and six more months in prison for unethical articles.
Javanfekr's family has requested the authorities to release Javanfekr, so he could spend some time with his family.
On his own part, Javanfekr said he will be out of the prison for 4 days, which he will spend with his family, adding that inside the prison he shares his cell with 5 other inmates, and there are no problems.
On Nov. 19, ISNA reported that Javanfekr has been vindicated from accusations.
Previously, the court banned the ex IRNA Chief from any kind of occupation and press activity, including governmental and private ones, for three years.
Javanfekr has also been accused of insults towards Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
After Javanfekr's imprisonment, Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad expressed his regret over the imprisonment.
