Iran's incumbent president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and president-elect Hassan Rohani agreed to appoint a representative to transfer information, the ISNA News Agency reported

Ahmadinejad and Rohani held a meeting on Tuesday at the Centre for Strategic Studies of the Iranian Advisory Council.

Besides Ahmadinejad, representative of the Iranian Supreme Leader in the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili attended the meeting.

Ahmadinejad and Rohani discussed a number of issues which were on the agenda.

Reformist candidate Hassan Rohani was officially elected as Iran's next president on Saturday with 50.7 per cent of the votes.

Rohani will become the incumbent president on August 3.
