Tehran, Iran, April 1
Iranian government's priority is to provide compensation for those affected by floods in tge country, Iran's First Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said.
"The government intends to compensate damages that affected lives of people. as well houses, home appliances and other sectors. We ask all the governors to calculate the damages and the government will compensate them," he said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
Referring to flood damages specifically in the sphere of agriculture, Jahagiri said that the damages in this sector will be compensated after reviewing financial sources and planning.
"Flood damages in industrial sector require more decisions and it's expected that the Ministry of Mine, Trade and Industry will review the amount of damages and the Cabinet will decide over the issue in a session," he added.
He noted that the recent rainfalls will affect the drought regions of Iran. "Fortunately, the wetlands that were source of dust, are full of water now."
