BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. Iran's exports of oil and non-oil products increased by 18.6 percent during 3 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through June 20, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through June 21, 2023), the statistics of Iran's Central Bank said, Trend reports.
According to the information, Iran's exports of oil and non-oil products raked in a whopping $25.5 billion in the span of just 3 months. On the flip side, Iran raked in a staggering $21.5 billion by exporting both oil and non-oil products during the same time frame last year.
Meanwhile, a surplus of $11.2 billion was created between Iran's exports and imports of products in 3 months. During the same period last year, the surplus amounted to 7.4 percent.
Furthermore, Iran's crude and fuel oil exports amounted to $12 billion during the 3 months. This indicates an increase of 34.8 percent compared to the same period last year. However, in the same period last year, Iran's crude oil and fuel oil exports amounted to $8.9 billion.
The export of Iran's non-oil products amounted to $13.5 billion for 3 months. Compared to the same period last year, non-oil exports increased by 7.1 percent. During the first three months of last year, Iran exported non-oil products worth $12.6 billion.
Moreover, Iran imported $14.3 billion worth of products during the mentioned period. Imports of products increased by 1.4 percent compared to the same period last year. The imports of Iranian products amounted to $14.1 billion during the first 3 months of last year.
