Non-oil exports of Iran's Ardabil province increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 3. The exports of non-oil products from Ardabil province, located in northwestern Iran, increased by 42 percent in value and 39 percent in weight terms during the 3 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through June 20, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through June 21, 2023), the controller of Iran's Ardebil Province Customs Administration Omran Ahmadi said, Trend reports.

According to him, a total of 88,000 tons of non-oil products worth $40 million were exported from Ardabil province during the past three months.

Ahmadi noted that 4,000 tons of products worth $21 million were imported to Ardabil province during the three months. The import of products increased by 23 percent in value and 6 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.

Furthermore, it should be noted that during the first three months of the current Iranian year, the country's exports of non-oil products amounted to $13.5 billion.

To note, Iran mainly focuses on importing the products required by the country and imposes certain restrictions on importing the products manufactured in the country.
