BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 30. Diplomatic doors are open to continue negotiations over Iran's nuclear program to return all sides to a responsible Comprehensive Joint Action Plan, the spokesperson for Iran's Foreign Ministry, Nasser Kanaani said at a press conference in Tehran on September 30, Trend reports.

According to him, the breadth and depth of Iran's nuclear program are unrelated to any other matter.

Kanani added that Iranian VP Mohammad Eslami's visit to Vienna, Austria, as well as Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi 's meeting with International Atomic Energy Agency Director General Rafael Grossi, were fruitful. If the International Atomic Energy Agency has a serious intention to follow up on common issues in a professional and qualified manner, professional negotiations between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency can be continued and the outstanding issues can be resolved.

To note, Iran and the IAEA reached an agreement last March (2023) and issued a statement on the agreement. According to the agreement, Iran's cooperation with the IAEA lies within the framework of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Convention (NPT) and safeguards, and the parties are to cooperate on allegations of the existence of enriched uranium substances in connection with Iran's nuclear program.
