Turkish FM Gul in London, answers questions on PKK action
(Hurriyet) - British Foreign Minister Margaret Beckett, speaking in London with Foreign Minister Abdullah Gul, affirmed that England was cooperating with Turkey in the struggle against the PKK, reports Trend. Making a statement at the end of the 45 minute meeting between the two foreign ministers, Gul said "In addition to its natural international rights, Turkey has another right: this right is for very meaningful cooperative efforts against terror with its neighbors and allies."
Gul also added, "You cannot carry out a military operation just because you say 'I am going to carry out an operation.' Everything cannot be out in the open, and broadcast live on tv. Turkey is not a country interested in a simple show of strength."
