(IRNA) - An informed source at Foreign Ministry declared here Thursday that no new development is observed in the situation of members of Danish Embassy in Tehran.

Speaking to IRNA about the rumors of closure of the Danish Embassy in Tehran, the informed source said that Denmark has not yet made an official announcement on the issue and that the embassy staff continue their diplomatic activities as usual, reports Trend.

Following the demonstration of people outside the Danish Embassy on Tuesday night and their protest against the brazen move of Denmark's national TV broadcasting a blasphemous video against Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), some news media reported that the Danish Embassy has been closed.

Denmark's Foreign Minister Per Stig Moeller said on Thursday that the Danish ambassador and staff in Tehran continue their diplomatic activities.

A group of young Tehranis staged a rally outside the Danish Embassy on Tuesday night and chanted slogans condemning broadcasting of a blasphemous video against Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) by Denmark's national TV2 channel on Friday.

The ralliers vented their fury at the blasphemous anti-Islamic move of posting insulting images of the holy Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) on a website.
