Iran explores trade opportunities with Latin American countries

(IRNA) - A conference on 'Exploring Trade and Investment Opportunities in Latin American Countries' will begin here on February 26, Head of Iran's Export Development Center Mehdi Ghazanfari said.

Speaking to reporters, he said that the gathering will study grounds to increase export of non-oil commodities along with expansion of trade with countries in the Latin America region, reports Trend.

"We have held talks with Cuban, Venezuelan, Brazilian, Mexican and Uruguayan ambassadors and they have voiced readiness to cooperate in organizing the confab," he said.

Businessmen, traders, exporters of goods and services, economic experts from Iran and Latin American countries are to take part in the confab.

Participants in the confab will take advantage of each other's capabilities to help promote economic growth in their countries, he said.
