( www.irna.ir ) - Iran 's top nuclear negotiator Ali Larijani expressed his country's readiness to give guarantees that its peaceful nuclear activities would not be diverted to non-peaceful uses.
The remarks of the secretary of Iran 's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) came as he spoke to reporters following his two-hour talks with IAEA Director-General Mohamed ElBaradei.
He said the proposal for creation of a consortium to conduct enrichment for Iran was among such guarantees that should remove concerns of the opposite side over the country's nuclear program.
Larijani arrived in Vienna on Tuesday for talks with ElBaradei on Tuesday. He is scheduled to leave the Austrian capital on Wednesday.
