Trade turnover between Iran and Azerbaijan has surpassed $405.63 million during the first ten months of current Iranian fiscal year (March 21, 2014-Jan. 21), 6.37 percent less compared to the same months of the preceding year.
Iran has exported $387.78 million worth of goods to Azerbaijan during the period, which indicates a fall by 5.72 percent year on year, the Iranian Customs Administration said in its detailed monthly report published Feb. 4.
The Islamic Republic exported some 1.692 million metric tons of goods to Azerbaijan during that period which is 24.93 percent less compared the 10-month period of last year.
Iran also imported some $17.842 million worth of goods from Azerbaijan during the period, 15.35 percent less than the last fiscal year's first ten months (March 21, 2013 to Jan. 21, 2014).
Iran-Azerbaijan trade balance, stood at $369.94 million in the 10-month period, compared to $390.3 million in the same period of the preceding year.
The Islamic Republic has exported 86,534 metric tons of goods, worth $25.33 million to Azerbaijan during the 10th Iranian calendar month of Day (Dec. 22, Jan. 21), which indicates a fall of 64.28 percent in terms of volume and a decline by 26.4 percent in terms of value respectively compared to the same period of last year.
Iran's trade balance with Azerbaijan stood at $450 million in the previous Iranian fiscal year, which ended on March 20, 2014.
Iran Customs administration reported that the country's exports to Azerbaijan surpassed $482 million, meanwhile Tehran imported $32 million worth of goods from Baku in the mentioned period.
Iran's non-oil foreign trade amounted to $86.261 billion in the first ten months of the current Iranian fiscal year.
The Islamic Republic's non-oil exports (including condensates) accounted for $42.584 billion of the mentioned amount, while imports accounted for $43.677 billion.
