Iran to double oil exports if sanctions lifted

Iran's petroleum minister said on Monday that the country could double its oil exports only several months after sanctions are lifted, Shana reported.

"In case international sanctions against Iran are lifted, 1mb/d will be added to the country's crude oil production and exports in several months," Bijan Namdar Zangeneh said.

"With the lifting of sanctions against Iran, many things will happen and a 1mb/d increase in Iran's oil exports after the removal of sanctions are forecast not to largely affect the crude oil price and world markets," he said.

"The anti-Iran sanctions currently in effect are cruel and they have denied the Iranian nation its rights," said the minister.
