S.Korean company signs MOU on water transfer project in Iran

By Fatih Karimov - Trend: South Korean company, Daelim, signed a memorandum of understanding to implement a water transfer project in Iran.

The project is aimed to transfer water from western province of Chaharmahal-Bakhtiari to the central plateau of Iran, the Iranian Energy Ministry reported Oct. 5.

Issa Bozorgzadeh, managing director of Iran's Water and Energy Resources Development Company, said that water will be transferred to Yazd, Isfahan, and Kerman provinces.

Based on the project, some 1.1 billion cubic meters of water will be transferred annually.

The project will be implemented in the EPCF (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Finance) format, he added.
