Iran is preparing to request next week from international oil companies (IOC) as well as exploration and production (E&P) companies to submit their information and needed technical documents for participating in the upstream tenders, Ali Kardor, the head of National Iranian Oil Company said Sep.22.
He added that the Oil Ministry would evaluate the documents and choose the companies which are capable to participate in tenders related to the development projects, based on new designed oil and gas agreements, called Iran Petroleum Contracts (IPC).
Iran’s government introduced IPCs last December which proposes 49 oil and gas projects for foreigners.
The offered 21 gas and 29 oil fields based on IPC:

Kardor said that Iranian parliament has approved the IPC model recently and there is no legal obstacle for implementing it, IRNA reported.
Iran is preparing to issue tenders on the projects in October 2017.
It’s expected that the country will issue the first tender on the Azadegan oil field. Iran expects to attract some $80 billion worth of foreign investment, or 80 percent of total needed investments for upstream projects, by 2021.
Azadegan field has been divided to north and south parts. Currently 73,000 b/d of oil and 1.1 million cubic meters per day (mcm/d) of associated gas is produced from North Azadegan. After commencing the second phase of this project, the output would reach 150,000 b/d.
Iran produces 50,000 b/d of South Azadegan and another 30,000 b/d would be added to this volume in September, said the official, adding that, the level would reach 110,000 b/d in and then 320,000 b/d, after another 132 wells are drilled. The official said that currently 19 rigs are active there. The second phase would add another 280,000 b/d of barrel to the output of South Azadegan, but not in in the near future.
