Productivity share in Iran’s economy growth in next five years is expected to reach 35 percent, Roya Tabatabaei Yazdi, head of the National Iranian Productivity Organization (NIPO), said.

Based on Iran's Sixth Five-Year National Development Plan (2016-2021) at least 35 percent of the economy growth rate will be realized by an increase in the productivity rate, Tabatabaei Yazdi said, IRNA news agency reported May 22.

She further said that productivity consists of various important factors including labor, capital and energy productivity, adding that mixing these three factors, results in total production factor productivity.

Tabatabaei said that productivity share from economic growth reached 65 percent following the removal of sanctions imposed on Iran.

The productivity has had negative growth in 2011 to 2013 and became positive in 2016, she added.
