Iran announces tender for potable water supply system project

Khuzestan Water and Power Company (KWPA), affiliated with Iran’s Energy Ministry, intends to hold an international tender on design, procurement, construction and financing for the ‘Potable Water Supply ‎and Transmission System’ project in Khuzestan Province, southwestern Iran‎.

Subject: Design, procurement, construction and financing (from foreign sources) for Potable Water Supply and Transmission System from Kosar and Karun 3 dams to Khuzestan’s southeastern cities and construction of water treatment plants, storage tanks and transmission pipelines based on EPC+F contract.

The contractor should be held responsible for financing 85 percent of the contract price (from foreign sources).

Project location: Khuzestan Province, Behbahan, Mansourieh, Tashan, Sardasht, Hendijan, Omidieh, Aghajari, Miyankouh, Jayzan, Ramshir, Bandar Imam, Bandar Mahshahr and Chamran cities.

Estimated contract amount: 474 million euros

Time schedule to carry out the work: 48 months
