Iranian province to export shrimps to Spain for 1st time ever
Tehran, Iran, Oct. 15
Director General of Veterinary Organization in Golestan Province said the province is scheduled to export shrimps to Spain for the first time ever after obtaining license to ship shrimps to Europe directly.
The shrimps cultured in the province can now be exported to European countries directly, Mahmoud Reza Vafaei told IRNA on October 14.
"Plans are underway to export 50 kilogram of shrimps to Spain for the first time," he added.
This could facilitate the export of the sea creature to European nations, Vafaei said.
"We expect to export 2 to 3 million tons of processed shrimps to Spain by the end of the current Iranian calendar year (started March 21)," he said.
He said the province is currently exporting shrimps to China and the UAE.
