This Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), the National Development Fund of Iran has allocated seven trillion rials (about $166 million) to provide over 20 villages with drinking water, IRNA cited Shahin Pakrooh, Vice President of Engineering and Development at National Water and Wastewater Engineering Company, as saying.
He added that the project was launched in 2016 and over 4 million people in the country have already been provided with drinking water.
The provision of villages with drinking water is implemented within two projects.
According to the first project, residents of more than 10 million villages will be provided with drinking water.
In the second project, residents of 16 million villages will be provided with drinking water.
