Iran discloses volume of petrochemicals produced during 8 months

Since the beginning of this Iranian year (started on March 21, 2018) till the end of the eighth month 36.7 million tons of petrochemicals were produced by petrochemical plants and the export value exceeded $8.1 billion, Trend reports referring to Young Journalists Club (YJC).

Twenty petrochemical plants situated in Mahshahr county produced 12.908 million tons of products till the end of the eighth month of this Iranian year.

Sixteen petrochemical plants in Asalouyeh county produced 16.453 tons.

By the end of the eighth month, production activity in Khuzestan, Ehtimam Jam, Pardis, Mahabad, Lorestan, Khorasan, Fannavaran, Urmia, Marjan, Farabi, Kermanshah Polymer, Farsa Chimie and Zagros plants intensified.

About 14 million tons of petrochemicals worth $8.1 billion were exported till the end of the eighth month of this Iranian year.

The petrochemical plants exported 1,351,000 tons of products worth $760 million.

More than 3,682,000 tons of products worth more than $2.238 billion have been exported from Mahshahr during eight months.

More than 7,354,000 tons of goods worth more than $4.161 billion have been exported from the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone to the international markets.

Some 2,947,000 tons of products worth $1.773 billion were exported from other regions.

Some 1,762,000 tons of products worth $691.889 were exported from the Zagros Petrochemical Plant while products worth $691.889 million were exported from the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone.

More than 1,106,000 tons of products worth $657 million were exported from the petrochemical economic zone of Imam Khomeini Port Petrochemical Plant.

In other zones, the Khark Petrochemical Plant exported more than 758,000 tons of products worth $300 million to the foreign markets.
