An agreement was signed with the minister of internal affairs and agriculture of Iran to increase production by developing greenhouses in the agriculture sector, Executive Director of Iran Agricultural Parks Company Ali Ashraf Mansouri said, Trend reports via Mehr News Agency.
He said that this agreement was signed as part of implementation of macroeconomic policy of the resistance economy declared by the religious leader of Iran in order to use diverse potentials in different regions, support local production, as well as ensure food safety, taking into account the country’s water resources limit, expand greenhouses and agricultural parks.
He added that in this agreement, the Iranian Ministry of Interior has undertaken commitment to cooperate with the Ministry of Agriculture Jihad in the implementation of programs focused on developing infrastructure of agricultural parks and implementing research activities by means of special working groups, expanding greenhouses and sowing areas, enhancing productivity by exporting products and creating agricultural parks.
“A committee consisting of deputy coordinator for regional and economic development issues of the Interior Ministry, deputy agriculture minister for gardening issues and a representative of the Iran Agricultural Parks Company will be organized for the implementation of the agreement,” he said.
