In the first six months (March 21-Sept. 22, 2019) of the current Iranian year, Iran's exports via borders of its Gilan province amounted to $182.8 million in monetary terms, Chairman of Gilan Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Farhad Dalgpush said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
During the reported period, the weight of the exported goods reached 331,000 tons, Dalgpush said.
Compared to the same period of the last Iranian year (started March 21, 2018), the exports increased by 20 percent in terms of weight, but decreased by 12 percent in monetary terms, he added.
In the reported period of the current Iranian year, Iran imported 574,000 tons of goods worth $430 million via the customs of Gilan province, Dalgpush noted.
Compared to the same period of the last Iranian year, Iran's imports via the borders of Gilan increased by 2 percent in monetary terms, but decreased by 13 percent in terms of volume, he added.
He noted that Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan are among the main export destinations of the province.
