In the first six months (from March 21 to Sept. 22, 2019) of the current Iranian year, licences have been issued for the establishment of 245 industrial enterprises in Iran's Hormozgan province, located in the country's south, Head of Hormozgan Industry, Mine and Trade Organization Khalil Ghasemi said, Trend reports via IRNA.
According to Ghasemi, 465 trillion rials (roughly $1.1 billion) will be invested in the new enterprises.
Compared to the same period of the previous year, the amount of investments in Hormozgan's industrial enterprises increased by 3 percent, Ghasemi said.
After the launch of the enterprises, 6,700 people will be provided with jobs, Ghasemi noted.
According to Ghasemi, 9 percent of all investments made in Iran during the reported six-month period accounted to the industrial sector of Hormozgan province.
