A new highway stretching 100 kilometers is ready for commissioning in Iran’s north-western Ardabil province, Deputy Director of Roads and Urban Development Administration of the province Ali Yusifzadeh said.
“Fifty-one of 100 kilometers account for trunk road, 16.5 kilometers – for main road, and 33 kilometers - for country road,” Yusifzadeh added, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
“Some 2.03 trillion rials (about $48.3 million) were spent for the construction of the Ardabil- Meshgin Shahr, Razi-Amirkendi and Ardabil-Serch roads,” he noted.
The deputy director stressed that Khatam al-Anbiya Construction Headquarters invested 880 billion rials (about $20.9 million) in the construction of a 43-kilometer Ardabil- Meshgin Shahr highway.
“Currently, an 18-kilometer section of the highway is being constructed,” he said. “The construction will be completed during the next two years.”
