The Caspian countries, especially Russia and other members of the Eurasian Economic Union, are interested in Iran's greenhouse products, Head of the Iranian presidential administration Mahmoud Vaezi told reporters.
Vaezi made the remark following the commissioning ceremony of a hydroponic greenhouse in Amol county of northern Mazandaran province, Trend reports referring to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
“The Iranian government and the Ministry of Agriculture support farmers to increase the number of greenhouses and the volume of agricultural products,” head of the presidential administration added. “The Amol hydroponic greenhouse grows flowers for export.”
The Iranian official stressed the possibility of managing the country by increasing production in various fields.
The hydroponic greenhouse has been commissioned in Amol region of Iran's Mazandaran province. Some 330 billion rials (about $7.8 million) were spent for the greenhouse and it is possible to grow two million flowers a year. Totally, the implementation of 85 agricultural projects was launched in Mazandaran province.
Moreover, the US imposed sanctions on Iran in November 2018 and Iran's oil export has greatly declined.
