New pipelines have been laid to the Salman oil field, which is a joint oil field between the United Arab Emirates and Iran, Trend reports citing Iranian Offshore Oil Company, a subsidiary of the National Iranian Oil Company.
Reportedly, the pipes were laid on the Lavan island.
According to the company, the oil produced in the Salman field is transported to the Salman refinery via the pipeline.
Iranian Offshore Oil Company said that 24-inch new pipelines were laid in 28 days.
Moreover, repair work was carried out at the refinery and it started operation afterwards.
Salman oil field (Abu Al Bukhoosh in the UAE) is located 144 km south of Lavan Island, a joint oil field between Iran and the United Arab Emirates. The Salman field has 44 oil wells and 10 water pressure wells. The field has 4.5 billion barrels of oil reserve. So far, the field has produced 1.1 billion barrels.
Iran is reportedly producing 60,000 barrels of oil daily.
