Iran expects Chinese investments in mining sector

TEHRAN, Iran, March. 29

The former Iranian ambassador to China explained the details of the Iran-China 25-year Cooperation Program or Comprehensive Strategic Partnership,

"The Iran-China 25-year Cooperation Program provides a framework for relations between the two countries and avoids international tensions created by sanctions," Former Iran Ambassador to China Seyyed Mohammad Hossein Malek said, Trend reports citing ILNA.

“Iran is under international restrictions. Now it has an opportunity to reduce these restrictions,” he said.

“Of course, this opportunity is not perfect. It is in our interest to take advantage of these opportunities,” he noted.

Malek said that the mining sector is among the underdeveloped sectors of the country.

"The development of mines and reduced raw material sales are considered in this document,” he said referring to the detail of the agreement.

Malek went on to note the development of the mining sector requires two most important factors: investment and technology, both of which can be developed by China

He went on to say that Iran expects Chinese investment in the country`s industries.
