Iran's non-oil foreign trade increases

TEHRAN, Iran, June.14

In May, Iran's non-oil foreign trade was 11.9 million valued at $7.8 billion, said the spokesman of the Iran Customs Administration.

"Iran's non-oil foreign trade has reached 22.2 million tons valued $12.8 billion during first two months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021)," said Rouhollah Latifi, Trend reports citing ILNA.

The country's foreign trade from April 21 to May 21 included export of 8.5 million tons of commodities valued at $3.3 billion while import was 3.3 million tons valued at $3.7 billion.

During the first two months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021), Iran's export has increased 27.5 percent compared to the same time last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020) while import has increased 19 percent.

Iran exported 2.3 million tons of commodities valued at $1.8 million to China, about 1.5 million tons valued at $525 million to Iraq, 1.2 million tons of goods valued at $432 million to the UAE, and 193,000 tons valued at $211 million to Turkey.

The country has imported 953,000 tons of commodity valued at $1.5 billion from the UAE, 240,000 tons valued at $832 million, 409,000 tons valued at $395 million from Turkey, 300,000 tons of goods valued at $227 million from Switzerland.
