Iran's TEDPIX records gains

TEHRAN, Iran, July 12

The overall index of the Tehran Stock Exchange (TSE) gained 19,075 points to 1.300 million, on July 12 and hits its recent 3-month record.

Over 7.593 billion shares valued at $1,39 billion changed hands at TSE for the day, Trend reports citing IRNA.

The First Market Price and Dividend Index TEDPIX (FM) increased by 19.729 points and the Second Market Price and Dividend Index TEDPIX (SM) decreased gained 18,998 points.

The value of exchanges in Farabourse reached $6.5 billion on Monday.

The indices of Mobarakeh Steel Co., Golgohar Mining & Industrial Company, Parsian Oil and Gas Development Co., Persian Gulf Petrochemical Co., Pardis Petrochemical Co., Tehran Oil Refinery Co., RPNA, Pars Petrochemical Co, and National Copper Industry Co. had the most positive impact on TSE.

SHASTA, Barekat Drugs and Medicine Group, Mobarakeh Steel Company, and Isfahan Oil Refinery were the most traded shares via TSE.

Iran's president-elect Ebrahim Raisi expressed his viewpoint on Stock Exchange in his first press conference held a week after his election on June 18.

He went on to say that Iran will bring back the peoples' trust in the country's capital market.

"We will bring back people's trust in the capital market, the government will definitely not use the stock exchange as a resource to finance its budget deficit," he said.
