Iran seals deal with Russia on automotive batteries export

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 25. During MIMS Automobility Moscow 2023, Iran Khodro, branded as IKCO, an Iranian automaker, sealed a $50 million deal with Russian partners for exporting automotive batteries to Russia, Trend reports.

Mahmoudreza Mousavi, the company's export deputy, stated that their presence had been established in the Eurasian market and the Commonwealth of Independent States.

Mousavi noted that their efforts to export to Russia commenced eight months prior and highlighted the Iranian company's focus on quality, post-sales services, timely delivery, and competitive pricing. He expressed confidence that the company would secure a foothold in the Russian market.

This marks Iran's second consecutive year participating in MIMS Automobility Moscow. The event features 32 Iranian enterprises, including prominent automakers Iran Khodro (IKCO) and Saipa Group, along with two commercial entities and 28 auto spare parts companies.

The exhibition, hosted at the Crocus Expo International Exhibition Center in Moscow, started on August 21 and will continue until August 24.
