Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Uzbekistan on rise

BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 18. Iran's trade turnover with Uzbekistan increased by 27 percent in value and 32.6 percent in weight in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024) compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 to March 20, 2023), the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.

According to statistics, Iran's trade turnover with Uzbekistan last year amounted to 590,000 tons worth about $460 million.

Statistics show that Iran's trade turnover with Uzbekistan in the previous Iranian year was 445,000 tons worth $362 million.

The information indicates that milk and dairy products, petrochemical products, various types of pipes, cotton, beans, silk, etc. were exchanged between the two countries.

Meanwhile, the information shows that for the 12th month of the last Iranian year (from February 20 through March 19, 2024), the country's trade turnover with Uzbekistan amounted to 66,800 tons worth $45 million.

To note, according to the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration, the country's trade turnover (imports and exports) last year amounted to more than $153 billion. Compared to the previous year, the trade turnover increased by 2.6 percent.
