Iran says nuclear deal upset plans by hostile states

Tehran, Iran, July 14
By Temkin Jafarov, Mehdi Sepahvand - Trend:

The Islamic Republic says its newly-achieved nuclear agreement has diffused hostile plans that some regional countries had developed against Iran.

The deal upset plans by some states, one being Saudi Arabia and the other Israel, Mansour Haqiqatpour, second deputy chairman of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, told Trend July 14.

These countries used to do by propagating Irano-phobia, they warned small regional countries of the power of Iran and thus they managed to gain some position, he noted.

"Whenever they could not continue, they used the ISIL," the MP stated.

Thus, Haqiqatpour concluded, it is natural that the deal will make these countries politically bankrupt.

Shortly after the deal was made, Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called it a historical mistake and said the day was a dark day in history.

Also, he had earlier warned the West that making a deal with Iran would be a mistake the same as that made in the case of North Korea.

Iran and the group 5+1 (the US, UK, France, Russia, China, and Germany) finally struck a comprehensive deal on the country's nuclear program after 22 months of intense negotiation on July 14.
