“Enemy’s penetration threatening Islamic Republic” (UPDATE)
Baku, Azerbaijan, Sept. 16
By Umid Niayesh - Trend:
Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei said that the "enemy's penetration is a major threat for the Islamic Republic".
He made the remarks while addressing a number of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) commanders and staff in Tehran on Sept. 16.
The enemy tries to find ways into the country's decision-making centers, Khamenei said, the leader's official website reported.
However various Iranian authorities including IRGC powerfully close their path, he added.
The enemy tries to damage people's beliefs and find ways for cultural penetration, Khamenei said, adding cultural, ideological and political influence is more dangerous than economic and security penetration.
He also called on Iranian economic officials to be careful about the penetration of the Islamic Republic's enemies in economic areas.
