A senior Iranian military commander has said that the operational range of Iran's stealth drones hits 3000 kilometers.
"Currently, Iranian radar-evading drones are capable of carrying out operations within a range of 3000 kilometers," Hossein Salami, deputy Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps said, the State IRINN TV reported Nov. 16.
He further said that the Islamic Republic enjoys home-made "long-range" missiles with capability of guidance and control until hitting the intended targets thousands kilometers beyond the country's borders with high precision.
The senior commander also noted that the administration does not share all its military products and carried out weapon tests.
"We are working round the clock to produce new equipments in defense field, however do not disclose all military tests and achievements to prevent the militarization of public opinion."
Tehran regularly announces military advances that cannot be independently verified. Iranian media outlets report that Iran has made great achievements in its defense sector and attained self-sufficiency in producing essential military equipment and systems in recent years.
Since 1992, Iran has manufactured its own tanks, armored personnel carriers, missiles, radars, boats, submarines and fighter planes.
