Iran says nuclear deal can’t be undone

Tehran, Iran, June 22

By Mehdi Sepahvand – Trend:

The nuclear deal cannot be undone, so French companies and banks should not worry about propaganda in the US, because nobody can tear the agreement or redo the talks, Iran’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif told the French Senate in Paris.

Zarif asserted that if Iran can buy aircraft from the US-based Boeing, then there won’t be any obstacles to buying aircraft from France’s Airbus, IRIB agency reported June 22.

“However, the existing psychological vibe has lowered the progress of the sanctions’ removal,” he stated. “There are some banking problems between Iran and France, which need to be raised.”

He pointed to President Hassan Rouhani’s January trip to France and the ensuing agreements as indicating the chance that the Iran-France cooperation can be an example of the successful implementation of the nuclear deal.

Iran and France signed 20 cooperation pacts, while the two countries’ private sectors signed over 10 cooperation pacts on the sidelines of Rouhani’s trip to France.

As a follow-up to one of those agreements, Iran’s biggest car producer Iran Khodro and France’s ASP (Peugeot-Citroen) signed a contract June 21 to launch a joint company in Iran to produce Peugeot cars.
