Iranian Leader urges Intelligence Ministry to stay within framework of revolution
Tehran, Iran, Aug. 9
By Mehdi Sepahvand – Trend:
Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has urged the country’s Ministry of Intelligence to “preserve the orientation of the revolution meticulously.”
“The Ministry of Intelligence is like a tough crust to the state and should never be damaged,” Khamenei told a number of officials of the ministry at a meeting, Fars news agency reported Aug. 9.
“Creating a dividing line with the head of the arrogance current, that is the US, is one of the most salient and definite principles of [Imam Khomeini], which is something that tolerates no negligence or carelessness,” Khamenei said.
“The ministry is a very vital and sensitive stronghold… a watchful eye for the Islamic system,” he stressed.
Stressing that the ministry’s achievements have been made possible through the “faith” of its personnel, he urged the officials to raise the ministry’s new generation as revolutionary and devout as the current generation.
