Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has extended his congratulations to Michel Aoun on being elected as Lebanon’s president.
President Rouhani through a message on Nov. 2 expressed hope that ties between the two friendly and brotherly countries will witness more developments during Michel Aoun’s term in office, IRNA news agency reported.
Lebanon's parliament elected Michel Aoun as president Oct. 31, ending a political stand-off that has left the post empty for more than two years.
