Iran’s Supervisory Committee, responsible for monitoring the nuclear deal, started a meeting to evaluate the possible violations of the deal, ISNA reported Dec.7.

The Supervisory Committee comprises eight officials, including members of Iran's National Security Council.

The main focus is to evaluate the recent 10-year extension of US sanctions on Iran in Senate. The bill now will be submitted to the White House for President Barack Obama to sign it into law.

Iran and P5+1 (the US, France, the UK, Russia, China and Germany) reached an agreement of nuclear deal, called the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) last year. JCPOA was implemented in January.

President Hassan Rounani who serves as the head of National Security Council as well, leads the Supervisory Committee’s meeting.

Rouhani Dec.6 that the extension of Iran Sanctions is violating the JCPOA and if comes into force Iran will sharply respond to that.
