Iran and South Korea have inked a memorandum of understanding for establishing military and defense cooperation.

Visiting Iranian Defense Minister Brigadier General Mohammad Dehqan and his South African counterpart Nosiviwe Noluthando Mapisa-Nqakula signed the MoU this morning, official news website of the Iranian government reported.

Dehqan arrived in Pretoria on Monday at the official invitation of Mapisa-Nqakula to discuss bilateral and international issues with senior South African officials during the two-day visit.

Back in April, South African President Jacob Zuma paid an official visit to Iran, during which the two sides signed a number of agreements to develop bilateral ties.
