Baku's Inter FC has won over Belarusian FC Shakhter on penalties 6:5 in the final of the CIS Cup.

Both halves and the extra-time of the game, held Sunday in St. Petersburg, ended in a 0:0 draw.

Inter reached the CIS Cup final without conceding a single goal.

In the CIS Cup group matches, Inter beat Kyrgyzstan's Neftchi and Tajik Istiglol with the same score - 3:0 and defeated Iskra-Stal (Moldova) 1:0. In the quarterfinals Azerbaijani club smashed Armenian "Mika" 4:0. In the semi-final Inter won over Russian Zenit 5:0.

Azerbaijani football clubs had twice won the CIS Cup: Neftchi (Baku) in 2006 and Khazar-Lankaran (Lankaran) in 2008.
