Moscow Attempts to Repeat History and Restore Old Empire: Estonian President

Georgia, Tbilisi, 13 August / Trend corr. N.Kirtskhalia / "We oppose Russia's aggression in Georgia, as Moscow attempts to repeat the history and restore the old empire," Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves, said at the joint briefing attended by Lithuanian and Georgian Presidents and Latvian Prime Minister in Georgia.

"Small nations and countries need security. The NATO, EU and United States should provide the security," Estonian President said.

"We call on journalists to urge the international community to ensure Georgia's security. Now, we should inform the world community of the recent developments in Georgia. Come and see how population is killed in the occupied zone," Estonian President said.

Estonian President called on to create humanitarian corridor immediately to evacuate all wounded people from the conflict zone. We should render aid to people in the conflict zone.

"We should take care of the territorial integrity of Georgia, and if we will not take care of Georgia the events that took place until 1991 will repeat again," Ilves said.
